Always

Always

I pray that this will be true for our little girl — that she will come to know God early in life, just believing that he loves her and trusting in him, and that she will humbly seek him all her life.

{Pst, if you would like one for your very own? Just mosey on over to the typography shop!}

Typography Giveaway {thailand fundraiser}

Hey!

Guess what!

I’ll tell you what, that’s what!

And it’s called My friends are going to Thailand this summer to help victims of persecution …

(that’s the extended title. I’m thinking of shortening it once I produce the feature-length-film version.)

Okay okay okay, so here’s the deal. Each of my darling friends needs to raise $3000 by June 10th and you can help! But first, let me help you by making you a special offer:

If you give Hannah or Noelle or Rachel a $20 gift,

I’ll send you a handlettered, handpainted typography of Psalm 139:5-6 {see below}.

You can give online through my friends’ Pure Charity sites (click here: Rachel, Noelle, Hannah).

Then contact me pronto! So I can get to work on your very own Psalm 139:5-6 handlettered typography. If you live far away from me … I’ll even ship it to you for free. Except to Australia. That’s where I draw the limit. (Just kidding Stuart, I would send you one.)

But in all seriousness, my friends have each taken a step of faith in regards to this trip. Here’s a little of what Rachel has to say about the trip:

This summer I plan to travel to Bangkok, Thailand on a special missions trip for 2 weeks with Life Raft International. In June, I will work with refugees, many of whom have escaped to Thailand after having been persecuted for their faith, who are living in a Safe House established by a small but incredibly dynamic nonprofit started by my friends Chris and Jade Woodruff. I have been able to financially support refugee families for the past year and I’m excited to meet those whom I’ve had the privilege to pray for and encourage.

Life Raft International is an organization that helps refugees survive in Bangkok while they wait to obtain official refugee status. If they are caught before obtaining refugee status, they are thrown into cages, separated from their families, and ultimately sent back to their home countries where they face severe persecution.
